Introduction

The Ring of the Champions is the ultimate end-game challenge on Eclipse. Challenge yourself and four friends in an epic arena battle against high difficulty enemies to win the Grand Prize.

How to Find and Start the Ring of the Champions on Eclipse

In the Mall, look for the Challange Master in her hut near the quests/pvp area or ask a guard for directions. You have to accept the quest Challenge: The Ring of the Champions, which serves as an introduction quest for the zone. Use the portal behind the Challenge Master or the command .tele Ring to travel to the Ring and talk to Khihla.

Quests Overview

Khila is the arena organiser for The Ring of the Champions. She will provide you with a series of quests to complete in the Ring. This challenge features a line of 6 quests. You have to defeat a boss in the ring for each one. You'll get the grand prize upon completing all 6 of them.

Grand Prize

The grand prize is one of the following four legendary cloaks you can only get by completing this challenge:

  • Veil of Conviction, Veil of Exanguination, Veil of Sanctification, Veil of Prowess

Also the winning team's members will get the title: the Challenger

Daily Quests and Syncing

The Ring of the Champions quests will be available as daily quests upon completion og the whole challenge, rewarding you with gold and Empire Token for each completion. Talk to Idormi in the backstage lobby area to accept them. This way you can also "sync" yourself with others players doing the regular quest line.

The Ring of the Champions Boss Order

 


Boss Strategies

 

Legion of Blood

General Strategy:

  1. Kite Krosh and Drakug away form the other two bosses by a healer and a ranged dps.
  2. Melee players kill Ungul first. (because of his regular aggro resets)
  3. Kill Osarg second.

Spells to look out for:

  • Stay out of Bladestorm.
  • Tank and melee DPS should stay away from Drakug because of his Cleave.
  • Drakug shoud be kept away from melee players because of his Disarm.
  • Krosh shoud be kept away from melee players because of his Whirlwind.
  • Krosh should not be tanked because of his Mortal Strike.
  • Osarg should be pulled away from the other three bosses because of the Blood Armor aura he grants them.
  • Drakug should be pulled away from the other three bosses because of the Berserking aura he grants them.
  • Casters shoud stay away from Ungul because of his Intercept.

 

Elavia

  1. Tank Skaraxx away from the boss and the group.
  2. Dps players kill Nuxx first.
  3. Kill Skaraxx second.
  4. Dmg Elavia to 65% HP and then kill Zarun.
  5. Dmg Elavia to 50% HP and then kill Yuzen.
  6. When all pets died, kill Elavia.

Spells to look out for:

Elavia:

  • Rapid Shot targets a player between 28-50 yards.
  • After Knock Away, Elavia shoots one target with Aimed Shot.
  • Arcane Shot targets players affected by Black Arrow.

Pets:

  • Melee dps should stay away from Skaraxx because of his Wide Slash.
  • Interrupt Nuxx's Greater Heal.
  • The group should stay in close range to Zarun because of his Leaping Face Maul.

 

The Twins

  • Pull them 30 yards away from each other.
  • Tank and ranged dps attack Dhastu.
  • Melee dps attack Khyria.
  • Pull them apart again when they teleport together.

Spells to look out for:

Dhastu:

  • Melee players (except from the tank) shoud stay away because of his Demoralizing ShoutKnockdown and Uppercut.

Khirya: 

  • Curse of Exertion should be dispelled.
  • Ranged should stay 20 yards away because of her Wind Shear.
  • Ranged should not attack her, when she has Water Shield.
  • No one should stay in between 5-10 yards to her because of her Tidal Surge.

 

Ethereum Gladiator Zaanox

  • Phase 1: Keep moving and avoid getting close to A.D.U. at any cost.
  • Phase 2: Run away when holograms appear.

Spells to look out for:

Zaanox: (Phase 1)

  • Overheal the player targeted by Arcane Surge.
  • Polymorph targets a player between 15-60 yards.
  • Arcane Barrage only targets players between 5-15 yards to Zaanox.

Holograms: (Phase 2)

  • Stay out of their trail of Coldflame

A.D.U.:

  • Stay 30 yards away to avoid Rocket Launch.
  • Stay 15 yards away to avoid Incendiary Rocket.
  • Stay 5 yards away to avoid Ascend to the Heavens.

 

Gorzaw

Totems:

  1. Pull the boss away from the Fire Totem (or kill totem).
  2. Kill the Water Totem.
  3. Pull the boss away from the Earth Totem (or kill totem).
  4. Kill the Air Totem.

Spells to look out for:

  • Curse of the Elements should be dispelled.
  • Interrupt Thunderstorm.
  • Ranged / healer should stay 20 yards away because of his Earth Shock.
  • Interrupt Healing Wave.
  • Save your cooldowns for his last 25% HP, beacause of Shamanistic Rage.

Elementals:

  • Water Elemental: Should not be tanked by ranged because of it's Geyser (Frostbolt can be interrupted).
  • Fire Elemental: Just kill (Flame Breath can be interrupted).
  • Earth Elemental: Interrupt Entangling Roots, stay out of Cave In.
  • Air Elemental: Interrupt Cyclone.

 

Voln

  • Psychic Form: CC mind controlled player.
  • Holy Form: Don't cast any heal spell and try to survive.
  • Shadow Form: Kill the image casting Shadow Lance as fast as possible.

Spells to look out for:

Psyhcic:

  • Warped mind should be dispelled and casters should stay 20 yards away to aviod getting it. 

Holy:

  • Interrupt Greater Heal.
  • Interrupt Smite.
  • Holy Fire should be dispelled.

Shadow:

  • Stay 10 yards away from the boss because of his Shadowfury.
  • Don't stand in Shadow Fissure on the ground.
  • Shroud of Darkness should be dispelled and casters should stay 20 yards away to aviod getting it. 
  • Shadow Word: Pain should be dispelled.
  • Interrupt image's Shadow Lance.
